Online Reputation Assignment

Subject: Zane Buxton’s Online Reputation
In our class I chose to go online and find out all that I could about Zane Buxton. I started with his blog because I had access to it and his profile gave me the information that he is a 23 year old Male. He is a Gemini, and his zodiac year is the Tiger. Zane is from Logan, UT and love sports. His blog profile says that his blog will be dedicated to some of the greatest sports photos around.
His interests name many different sports specifically such as skiing, golf, football and basketball but says he like all of them. He likes to music and TV and his friends.
His blog shows those blogs that he follows, most of them are set to private, but have names like they would belong to married couples. (All of this information found at http://www.blogger.com/profile/02950611383903764729)
When I searched for Zane on Facebook, we are both members of the Utah State Network so I was able to see his profile picture, his info tab, and his pictures from his albums.
On his information tab I was able to find out that he is conservative, he works for Qwest communications and his birthday is June 5, 1986. It doesn’t list a current girlfriend or wife but says he is interested in women, but only for friendship and networking.
I was able to find out that Zane graduated from Logan High in 2004, and is studying Public Relations and International Business at Utah State.
A lot of his interests were the same as from his blog. He listed skiing, wakeboarding, traveling, supercross, riding harleys, and anything fun. The photos that he has posted agree with this because he has a lot of pictures with motorcycles.
Zane is not only conservative but interested in politics. His favorite genres of music are rap, country and rock. His favorite TV shows are How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs and The Office. His favorite movie is Van Wilder, and his favorite book is Soldier by Colin Powell.
From Zane’s facebook I can also get his cell number and his aggiemail e-mail account. (All of this information was found at http://www.facebook.com/jacklynnicole?v=wall&story_fbid=739913964499#!/profile.php?id=570390208&ref=ts)
Besides these two sites, which can also be found by googling Zane, the only other things that I could find were stories that he had written for the Hard News Café from the Utah State website.

JCOM 2160 Photoshop Photos
With these two photos I added a blurred background, used the burn tool to darken my face, used layers and hue/saturation to whiten our teeth, and fixed the whole picture's hue/saturation.
With these two photos, I used the spot healing tool on my chin, made our eyes extra blue, used the burn tool to darken my face, and used layers and opacity to give my lips more color.
Position Paper Final Draft
This paper will discuss the plan to build the healthy image of Burger Planet. Many people in the demographic that Burger Planet wants to attract have become more health conscious. Many of the women from the focus group conducted by Burger Planet felt guilty about going out for fast food, and are trying to lose weight.
There has been an influx of healthy eating fads that has swept the country. There are reality shows about losing weight, shows on the food network all about eating and cooking healthy and new diet programs popping up daily.
We believe that Burger Planet should cater to those who are beginning to eat more healthy and who would otherwise eat elsewhere if Burger Planet did not carry healthy menu options that would fit with their new lifestyle.
The focus group conducted by Burger Planet showed that many women felt guilty about eating at Burger Planet. With the hiring of Jayne Petersen, we feel that this image will be reduced and we will be able to make the women in our target demographic feel good about eating at Burger Planet. Jayne Petersen is has one of the most successful diet and exercise programs in the country right now. She preaches a lifestyle of moderation and exercise. The new Burger Planet menu items fit into this new lifestyle of moderation and will draw the target demographic back to Burger Planet.
Our recommendation would be that Burger Planet keep Jayne Petersen around for as long as they can and continue to work with her to develop the healthy menu options that Burger Planet should offer. Burger Planet would become the go-to venue for healthy, fast and delicious menu options.
