With these two photos I added a blurred background, used the burn tool to darken my face, used layers and hue/saturation to whiten our teeth, and fixed the whole picture's hue/saturation.
With these two photos, I used the spot healing tool on my chin, made our eyes extra blue, used the burn tool to darken my face, and used layers and opacity to give my lips more color.
