Social Media Club Opens Cache Valley Chapter
The San Francisco based club opens a new chapter in Cache Valley to learn about and discuss social media such as facebook, twitter and blogging.

LOGAN, Utah—Feb. 8, 2010—The Social Media Club, a San Francisco based club, now has a Cache Valley chapter available as of June 2009. Previously, the closest chapter was in Salt Lake City.
Preston Parker, president of the Cache Valley Chapter, said, “The goal of the organization… is to help people become informed about social media, help them have access to those who have more information than they do.”
The social media that they learn about and discuss are things such as weblogs and blogging, facebook and twitter. There are panel discussions, guest speakers and other things that the members want to do.
The club has meetings every second Thursday at many locations around Cache Valley. They love to have new members join them. Parker said, “The target market of the Social media club of isn’t necessarily students, or faculty, it’s for anyone who wants to learn more about social media.”
